A young couple moved into a new house. The next morning, while having breakfast, they saw through the window that the neighbour was hanging her washing on the clothesline.
Surprised, the young woman said:
"Look! She hasn't washed the clothes properly. Perhaps she doesn't know how to do the laundry or isn't using the right washing powder!"
Her husband said nothing.
Whenever the neighbour hung out the washing, the young woman repeated the same remarks.
A month later, one day the clothes looked very clean. Astonished, the woman said to her husband:
"Look! She's finally learned how to wash the clothes properly!"
Her husband replied:
"No darling, I woke up early this morning and cleaned our own windows!"
Moral:
Our lives are just like that. What we see in others depends on the purity of our own minds and the clarity of our outlook. Before judging others, it's better to clean the window of our own mind.
